OUR STORY

SOLE Effects, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was established in 2015 by educators Karen and Kevin Ogden. Always passionate about instilling leadership skills in their students, the Ogdens wanted each student to know their individual worth and potential.

Karen and her teaching coworkers had limited time in their day to help students navigate the extreme pressures to perform, social conflicts, and life challenges that interfered with students’ ability to focus and learn. Karen retired early to address these needs and instill in all students a desire to reach their personal best. Kevin joined her shortly thereafter upon retiring as a district superintendent. Karen and Kevin have dedicated their time and monetary resources without receiving financial compensation.

What we have received is extreme joy and fulfillment as we watch our teams bring positive change into the lives of others. Our dream is for you to be inspired to join our movement-empowering our youth to become confident, purpose-driven leaders.
